Thanksgiving is finally here. It has been a time for us to reflect on this past year’s results, blessings, and our level of commitment to you and our community.

 

We have completed another Thanksgiving with you by our side. We are extremely grateful! We cannot thank you enough for the letters, phone calls, and support at our events. No words can express the energy you give us. Waking up 4 AM every day is worth it, just to keep up with the pace of everything.

We thrive on the energy you give. We receive letters about some supporter’s children, grand-children, work– you name it, we get it.
Each letter and reply makes us feel so alive– so connected.
 
It is with great pleasure that we introduce to you– two events from wonderful organizations that are going on this Thanksgiving week, which we sincerely hope you can attend:
 
FP Youthoutcry Foundation’s 3rd Annual Break Bread With You Ceremony

When:            Thanksgiving (10 AM), Thursday November 24, 2011
 
Where:           Newark, NJ – Military Park (Broad Street & Park Place)
 
Purpose:         Have Thanksgiving with the entire community, while providing assistance
                       to those in need.
Bring:              A friend, a dish (for food), and any of the following items (if possible):
                       Coats, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, unscented soap, first-aid
                       kits, and more.
Notes:             Donations should be made payable to FP YOUTHOUTCRY Foundation. Portions
                       of your donations are tax deductible (Tax ID 56-2596758) and all necessary
                       documentation will be provided. Priority placement will be based on                                                      sponsorship level.
AngelaCARES- Joining Our Youth & Seniors (JOYS): Feeding Seniors this Thanksgiving
 
Hosted:           AngelaCARES, Inc.

When:            Wednesday, November 23, 2011 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Where:           Jersey City, NJ Area
Purpose:         Have youth deliver home-cooked meals to senior citizens who are home
                       bound or living alone.

Our Thanksgiving Story:

We have been quite fortunate to have the most loyal individual supporters and small businesses. In our most recent project, The Gem Project Define Real Beauty Campaign, the Minuteman Press in Bloomfield, NJ became sponsors for our initiative. Minuteman Press has  also been able to work with us with our networking benefits, which are innovative events that help fund our programs. They are now an extended family of ours. Thanks Minuteman Press!

9/28/2011- The Gem Project Mini Concert + Networking Benefit 7PM

Join us as we kick off this month’s fund-raiser on September 28, 2011! Proceeds will go to our weekly interactive literacy programs and a small percentage toward the framing of our autism quilt, which we are gifting Rutgers University – Newark Campus in the School of Public Affairs and Administration. The benefit will allow many to network with local entrepreneurs and business owners. It will be a night to enjoy with music by Omar Ramon and a special presentation by Alfred Blake, author of “The Student’s Handbook To Breaking All The Rules.”

A.E. Empire Event 9.03.11 – Rooftop Social – NY, NY

 The A.E Empire Empowerment groups has been providing a good mixture of events  from adventure, relaxation, and workshops to improve your life.

This Saturday, we are going back to the basics to enjoy each other at our first rooftop social.

DJ B Mills will be spinning that night a lot of our favorite tunes! 

Meeting Where:

We will meet in front of the Sky Room building for 15 minutes and will depart at 9:30 PM. You should arrive between 9:15 PM – 9:30 PM . You must RSVP to be accounted for  at our table and those who RSVP, will get a contact number. You may call, if you’re running late.

“Fun under the stars with the New York City skyline as your backdrop. Enjoy the breathtaking views, the delicious food, and the incredible scene.”
