I wear my red cape around my neck--fitting the illusion of super woman!
![]() | I've been assigning duties to my beautiful assistant, Carmelys. She is helping me fit the illusion that I'm some kind of super woman. I just need to go out and buy my own red cape.It would have to be on sale, we are living in a time where being frugal is the new IN! Last Weekend, it was her birthday and we celebrated it in NYC. I took her to my favorite spot, The Bangkok Thai Restaurant, located at the infamous restaurant strip in Time Square by 42nd street. We topped it off with a few firsts for her. So she tried coconut ice cream for the first time and welcomed the basic Pad Thai chicken dish. The ambiance of the whole place was so soothing and cozy, I just didn't want to leave (*****). Prior to the restaurant, we to Bryant Park and got the most amazing cupcakes from Crumbs. Check it out below! |
| We both tried a caramel apple cupcake which had an apple filling in the middle--absolutely delicious. We also tasted different varieties before leaving. Shortly after that we went to Borders. I thought it would be neat if she started on her first vision board there. A neat way to take on a new year of life right? If you're clueless as to what I mean by vision boards view this entry :(here). | ![]() |
During the process of assembling a VB for her a young lady sat beside us. At first, she seemed really into her novel which had to deal with "finding self", yes I know--I was nosy. I decided to strike up a conversation based on what I read from the title of her book.
This is when I came up with the following conclusion about the lessons we learn from life -- My AH HA moment--.
The young lady admitted she never made a vision board but revealed that she has always had one. She shared to us something special that day by telling us her story. We were complete strangers but at the end we all became friends. We learned a great deal about life and just how important it is to just listen.
